Not every volunteer gig has to be completely selfless or induce rivers of tears. The American Pie Council is about to have their APC/Great American Pie Festival (April 9 & 1o in Celebration, FL) and the annual APC/Crisco National Pie Championships (April 8-10 in Orlando, FL)…and they need volunteers. You thought Disney was the “Happiest Place on Earth” but I think the pie championships can give the Mouse a run for its money, so when they both converge in Orlando, beware of gooey goodness overdosing. The two events need about 800 volunteers: pie servers, ticket takers, “Pie Police,” and more. You pitch in, you get an event t-shirt and…Ta-Daaaaaah…free admission to the all-you-can-eat “Never Ending Pie Buffet.”
