KONY 2012–Make Him Famous

Please watch this and spread it around. When this half-hour video started showing up on facebook and Twitter via friends, I was intrigued, but told myself I didn’t have 30 minutes to watch some video.

I do have that time. You do, too. Please watch and act and share and talk about it. It matters.

Kristin Chenoweth and Maddie’s Corner

Kristin & Maddie

Kristin Chenoweth rocks for so many reasons, the most recent that was brought to my attention is her charity, Maddie’s Corner. Named for her Maltese dog, Maddie, the charity strives to create, and add to, a world that is more humane, thoughtful, and tolerant, and a world that benefits the lives of people and animals. While the organization is still new, Kristin has targeted plenty of animal and human projects with which she partners and brings attention and support. Some of these are

  • Almost Home Animal Rescue & Adoption’s Training Wheels community outreach
  • Sit, Stay, Read
  • Animal Relief Fund NY
  • Central Texas Feline Rescue
  • Helping PAW
  • Right Action for Women
  • Gal to Gal Foundation
  • Breast Cancer Research Foundation
  • Invisible Children (for Haiti Relief Efforts)

There is currently a charityfolks auction online here where you can bid on personalized stuffed dogs created by Kristin’s celebrity performer pals, to raise money for her fellow philanthropist, Christina Applegate’s cancer charity, Right Action for Women. Bid on dogs designed by Kristin, Christina, Rachael Ray, Kathy Griffin, Kristen Bell, Chely Wright, Bebe Neuwirth, and Stacy London and support an important cause.
