Today is World Water Day

Thirsty? Someone is. In fact, millions are. This year’s theme for World Water Day is “Water for Cities: Responding to the Urban Crisis.” One in two people on the planet lives in a city (including slum areas, where 40% of urban expansion occurs today). The majority do not have clean sources of drinking water or waste disposal.

Help the world dig wells. Help the world access water to drink. Help the world survive. Give generously–it will go farther than you imagine.

charity: water

160x600_baby_bottleHave you got a September Birthday coming up? It’s OK if not, but the new awareness campaign from charity: water focuses on September birthdays. It was at a September birthday party three years ago that a group of friends launched the charity.

It is mind-boggling to think what can come of one good idea.

What’s in your head waiting to come out into the world?

How many “I wonder if…?” ideas are you hanging on to, assuming the answer is “Naahhhh”

Talk about it. See how it sounds out loud. Bring it up at dinner and at the parties heralding the end of summer.

Can you make a difference?

Hell yes you can.
