The Step by Step Foundation is based in Miami, but their reach goes around the world as they help underprivileged children and families in global communities, from Haiti to Argentina and Venezuela as well as Arkansas and Florida. They recently teamed with the Colorado Horse Park Foundation for a special horse show event raising funds and awareness of the devastation to communities caused by this summer’s brutal wildfires. Thousands were raised for displaced families and their animals, and at the same time, they launched their School in Backpack campaign, providing hundreds of backpacks stuffed full of school supplies for students in the area who had been left with little or no belongings due to fire damage to their homes.
It is easy to make a difference next door or around the world, when we focus our attention on it. I know you make your donation dollars go to effective uses…be sure your donated hours are can have just as large an impact.
