Today, June 28, is the first day of the 3-day National Conference on Volunteering and Service. Held in New York City, the conference is convened by the Points of Light Institute, the Corporation for National and Community Service, and locally convened by NYC Service and New Yorkers Volunteer. The annual event provides attendees with an opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired through a wide range of exciting and informative plenary sessions, workshops, special events, service projects, exhibits, specialized corporate tracks and more.
As the world’s largest gathering of volunteer and service leaders from the nonprofit, government, and corporate sectors, all are invited to join in New York, however, if, like me, you can’t get here (or didn’t know about it in time!) some of the plenary sessions and featured keynote speakers are being broadcast live online (link here) so you can still grab a little inspiration from some of the leaders in the world of volunteering and service.
Let’s plan to meet there next year, for sure.
