All of us grow better with a greater understanding of true American culture. The exploration, from home or classroom, of indigenous people and wisdom would help us all create a greater sense of unity and the inherent sense (that many of us more recently arrived to this country, in the past few hundred years, don’t embrace the way we could) of stewardship of the earth. Laying claim to being responsible for, and to, the planet (and each other) would be incredibly progressive.
